Your support at the ballot box this November made a difference.
With the passing of measure 6A, our community has helped to ensure the continuation of high-quality local healthcare in the years to come.
We want to take a moment to thank everyone who made that possible. To the locals who took the time to vote and make their voices heard, thank you for your support. To the volunteers who lent their time, energy, and expertise to the Health 4 Telluride Issues Committee, this would not have been possible without you. To the Telluride Hospital District Board of Directors and to our senior leadership at the Telluride Regional Medical Center for bringing this solution to the table, thank you for your constant attention and work to ensure the well-being of our medical center. And, of course, to our staff, thank you for working hard to ensure that our community has the highest level of care, day in and day out.
With the additional funding from this mill levy increase, we will not only address our current financial shortfall, but it will also allow us to continue to serve and meet the healthcare needs of our community well into the future.
These urgent challenges are no surprise given the current state of healthcare, especially in rural settings. The Telluride Regional Medical Center is, unfortunately, no exception. We are fortunate that our community voted to support our vision for excellent local healthcare and are willing to increase their property taxes to ensure that we can continue to provide it.
Again, thank you to all who supported us in any way during this campaign. We would not be here without you. We look forward to continuing to meet the healthcare needs of our region in the coming years.
Sincerely,
Paul Reich
