Why Give?
Your Contributions Save Lives
Your donation to the Telluride Medical Center Foundation supports TMC and contributes to life-saving emergency services, advanced clinical technology, and progressive wellness programs for our entire community.
Did you know that the Emergency Department at TMC saw more than 3,500 patients in 2023? We take care of patients who have had heart attacks, strokes, head injuries, broken bones, lacerations, altitude-related issues, illnesses, and injuries of all sorts. In February 2024, we saw more than 500 patients in our Emergency Department and transferred 40 of them to another facility because they needed admission to the hospital, surgery, or more specialized care.
“Our doctors would prefer to see you on the chair lift, but if you need us, we’re happy that we are able to be here to help,” said Dr. Diana Koelliker, Director, Trauma and Emergency Services. “We are so glad that we are able to be here when our patients need us most!”
Our Primary Care saw over 14,000 visits in 2023, and so far in 2024 we are busier than we have been since Covid. In 2024, we are promoting preventive care throughout our community to improve health outcomes. “Prevention is the foundation of wellness for our patients. Yearly preventive visits are important to strengthen the patient-provider relationship and implement a comprehensive individual health plan,” said Dr. Sharon Grundy, Medical Director, Primary Care, “We look forward to seeing you in 2024!”
“I just have such high regard and…gratitude for the care that I got [after experiencing cardiac arrest]. I wouldn’t be able to be here without it.”
—David Fansler, patient
“The doctor was incredibly patient…with us. He explained that he was going to use a new device where they’d be able to take pictures of [my son’s crushed] leg right at his bedside…it was simple, quick, and awesome. Because they were able to realign his leg, [our son] didn’t need surgery.”
—Hilaree O’Neill, mother of patient
